The Key To Lag Putting

When you are keeping your score while playing a round, write down the number of putts for each hole. If you are off the green, but use your putter to approach, do not count that as a putt. Only count putts that are actually started on the green. Hopefully there won’t be any three putts recorded, but in my game there usually are! I often realize that instead of shooting a 92 I could have been into the 80’s if “I had only made those putts.” I’ll often use that quote when I look over my scorecard. Also, keeping track of those putts will open your eyes to cutting down your score where it counts…on the green. Here’s a video to help get you close to the cup and get rid of those three putts. I’ll be playing at Whispering Woods here in Pinehurst later today and tracking my putts! Happy golfing from this average golfer.
