Swing With Power Like Arnold Palmer

I’ll be heading off to Myrtle Beach tomorrow, but there won’t be any golf in the trip. However, that doesn’t mean I can’t practice while I am away from the links in Pinehurst. I was always fascinated and followed Arnold Palmer over the years and looked at his swing as awkward. However, many people forget that he was one of the great distance drivers of his time. Here’s a great video from the Golf Academy the breaks down his swing and shows you how to get that Palmer power! Happy golfing from this average golfer.

Arnold Palmer at Pinehurst

One day to go to the Men’s U.S.Open at Pinehurst! Pinehurst is my winter home but unfortunately, I will not be there for the Open! One of my best golfing buddies in Pinehurst is the father of Rob Pilewski who is the head pro and in charge of golfing operations at Pinehurst. Rob will be announcing the players today on the number 1 tee for the practice round. Tomorrow will have another practice day for the players before the action starts on Thursday. I’ll be watching the coverage and can’t wait to see how the players react to the newly redone No. 2. When you go to Pinehurst, there is nothing like sitting on the veranda of the club house overlooking the number 18 green and I have done that many times. Here’s a nice interview done with Arnold Palmer from that spot on the veranda. Enjoy and Happy golfing from this average golfer.
