Yesterday, this average golfer teed off at 7 Lakes here in the West Pinehurst area. Unfortunately, we had to bag it after 12 holes as the rain was coming too hard. I was still happy to be out there because 7 Lakes is one of the jewels of the area in my opinion. The course recently changed ownership and the new owners are really doing a nice job of attracting golfers. A local special sets rates in the low 30’s most days, lower at certain times and always includes breakfast or lunch including two beverages (beer included). You also earn point towards merchandise in the pro shop. They are remodeling the bar area and installing new furnishings. All of this in addition to a beautiful and well manicured 18 holes of golf! I will be traveling north for a few months of northern golf so will look forward to playing 7 Lakes when I return.
