3 Drills to Make the 3-Footer

In real estate it’s location, location and location. In golf it’s short game, short game and short game if you want to lower that score. I can’t imagine how much better my scorecard would look if I could stop missing those short 3-footers which usually lead to three putts on the card. So, here’s some fun drills to look at and see if they can help with making those all important 3-footers! Another day off the links here in Pinehurst, but Monday this average golfer expects to be back on the links! Happy golfing!

Ben Crenshaw Saying Good Bye to the Masters

Here’s a nice article via Pinehurst about Ben Crenshaw. One of my favorite courses here in the Pinehurst area is the Dormie Club which is a Crenshaw designed course…a real challenge! Happy golfing from this average golfer.

Short Putt Drill

Wow, did this average golfer speak too soon about the weather improving here in Pinehurst! It really looks like this week and next will not be good golfing here. It had been by far the worst winter golf season I have experienced. I feel for those that are here with reservations trying to get a jump on their game. March promises to be much better. Meanwhile, here’s another tip from The Golf Academy to keep you in the spirit. Happy golfing from this average golfer!

Tobacco Road Flyover

One of my favorite courses to play in the Pinehurst area is Tobacco Road. Just a few miles north of Pinehurst, it will amaze you when you first arrive there. It is unique to say the least and you will always remember your round there….and probably want to come back for more!
This flyover will give you a feel for what you will experience at Tobacco Road! Don’t forget to bring extra balls and the pro shop will explain the local course rules. Happy golfing from this average golfer.
