The All Important Grip

As an average golfer, every time I hit the links, I try to improve some part of my game. Yesterday, I played here in Pennsylvania at the Scranton Municipal Course and was having a problem off the tee turning over my hands…hooking the ball more that usual. We often hear that everything good or bad in the golf swing starts with the grip of the club. I decided that I needed a lesson after yesterday’s issues, so here is a link that I use for the grip to remind myself of the need to start my swing correctly by gripping the club better. If you are having the same problems, I hope this will help. Happy golfing!

Better Chipping

This average golfer played yesterday here in Pennsylvania after two days of rain and wind that made the course tough to play. Lately, I have been off the tee good and the same with my fairway clubs. However, I have been losing a ton of strokes around the green with my chipping so I needed to go to the Golf Academy for some help. Here’s a link that brings me back into focus around the green. I’ll be back in Pinehurst this summer and look forward to playing some of the best golf courses in North Carolina! Happy Golfing.
