Payne Stewart in Pinehurst 1999

The weather here in Pinehurst is beautiful and this average golfer will be trying to lower his handicap tomorrow on the Hyland course. For whatever reason, I struggle on this course. The excitement is building as the U.S. Opens approach Pinehurst and here is a great video and reminder of what a loss the golf world suffered when we lost Payne Stewart! Happy golfing!

Pinehurst, Watch What Happens

The Opens are getting closer and although it is raining today, this video shows a typical morning at the famous course. I had a friend from up North recently ask this average golfer if the bad weather caused us to miss any golf. My answer was an honest one… “Yes, instead of playing Tuesday and Thursday, we had to move it to Monday and Friday”. Even with one of the worst winters here in recent history, we played all season. Happy golfing from this average golfer!

Yesterday this average golfer was scheduled to play Pinehurst No.5 and give you a rundown of the course. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate as we had a steady rain so my round was canceled. Here’s another link from the Pinehurst Resort about one of their golf professionals I think you will enjoy. Until next post, Happy Golfing from this average golfer!

Here’s a link that is a must if you are looking for some nice golfing spots in your travels with great food attached. Check out the number one spot for breakfast! This average golfer is going to enjoy a day on one of the 9-hole courses here in Pinehurst today. Midland Country Club is a nice place to get in some practice. I’ll be
playing one of my favorite courses Tuesday, Little River, just a few minutes north of Pinehurst. Happy Golfing!

Golf Bloopers/ Mid Pines

Today this average golfer spent a beautiful day in Pinehurst playing Mid Pines. It’s a great course with a slope rating of 120 from the forward tees. I will never get tired playing golf, but some days are better than others. This video portrays how I felt today…but if you are in the Pinehurst area, this is another must play course. Happy Golfing!
